When you can't pick up, your customer still hears from you.

I set up an automatic text for the calls you miss on the job. Your customer knows you got their call, and they don't move on to the next name on the list.

Example. The first text is automatic and written by you. Everything after it is you, replying when you're free.

How it works

Nothing new to learn. You keep your number, your phone, and the way you already work.

STEP 1

You miss a call

Your phone rings like it always does. If you can't get to it, your carrier passes the call along. Your number stays the same.

STEP 2

They get a text in seconds

A short text in your words, approved by you, goes out right away from a local number set up for your business.

STEP 3

You reply when you're free

You get a text with who called and anything they wrote back. Reply from your own phone and it reaches them from that same local number.

Businesses that responded 30 minutes after a lead came in were 100 times less likely to reach that person than businesses that responded within 5 minutes.

From a study of over 100,000 call attempts: Oldroyd, McElheran and Elkington, The Short Life of Online Sales Leads, Harvard Business Review, 2011. It measured callbacks to web leads. The lesson carries over: someone who needs work done today keeps calling until somebody answers.

Try it yourself

Call this number and let it go. Within a few seconds you'll get the kind of text your customers would get. Reply with a question and I'll answer personally.

You'd be working with me

I'm Brayden Panazzi, and I live in Pittsburgh. I build simple phone and text systems for local contractors: chimney and masonry, hardscaping, drainage, foundation and driveway work.

My background is in automating operations work, the behind-the-scenes process that keeps things from slipping through the cracks. This is the same idea, applied to the phone in your truck.

When you sign up, you deal with me directly. I set it up, I test it with real calls, and I'm the one who answers when you want something changed.

Common questions

Do I need a new phone number?

No. Customers keep calling the number you already have. The automatic text comes from a separate local number set up for your business, and your replies go out from that number too.

Does a bot talk to my customers?

No. One short automatic text goes out, in words you've approved. After that, the conversation is yours.

How long does setup take?

Usually one to two weeks. Most of that is waiting on the phone carriers to approve your business for texting, which they now require. The setup itself takes a day or two.

What about the rules on business texting?

Carriers require businesses to register before sending texts. I handle that registration as part of setup, and every automatic text includes a way to opt out.

What if I already use Housecall Pro or Jobber?

This usually runs alongside it. It doesn't replace your scheduling or invoicing. It catches the calls that fall through.

What if I want to stop?

There's no contract. Tell me, and I'll turn it off and help you switch your forwarding back.
